My Big Bro

I have a bro who’s 5 years older than me, and my only play-mate when I was small. Both of us don’t look like our age, now that we had grown up. I mean we look younger *hehe*

Since he's the only one whom I can play with, I normally followed him around with his friends and acted as an observer to see him:
  • play marbles at the playground downstairs
  • play soccer (I got hit by the flying ball once but we dun dare to tell mum about it in case we cant go out and play again)
  • play with fighting spider (eventually got him to catch one for me after continuous pestering)

Sometimes both of us would kena whacked by mum’s “super cane”. He would tell me not to cry (cos I’m a crybaby when young mah) and taught me how to minimize the pain… using the ever-available natural medication – saliva.

There was once when we played and he got a cut on his forehead when he jumped down from the bed and hit against the wooden corner. Mum was having her nap. I was crying in fear from the sight of the non-stop bleeding (as usual). He remained cool and told me to stop crying while at the same time went to the kitchen to take the tablecloth to cover his wound. Are all Big Brothers so cool in front of their little sis and bros? In the end, the bleeding did not stop on its own, mum emerged from her room, next came the thundering roar and he got scolded for the stunt.

Sorry bro~ for causing you to be caned and screamed at by the Empress.

Thanks bro~ for the stuff you taught me and I’m glad that we still remained close like friends. Will visit you and the others more often once your new home is done… and that’s a PROMISE from your little sis!
