The Final Countdown
Come 1/11/06, we would have someone new as a "leader". And before he even can introduce himself to the team, he would not be around for the 1st half and I had to cover his post. After that I have to follow him in the car... wonder if he'll ask me to drive and diary throughout... arghhh~
Why cant the transfer be done in December so that either one of them will be around instead of getting someone else to cover their post. Now I know why my posting had been KIV~ to fill in the blanks temporary... but the good thing is that I still have my guys and one gal with me, to enjoy every working hours until it's time for me to venture elsewhere.

Specially For You, Munz
Last nite was Chee Mun's final shift with us, kinda sad that I cant get to enjoy my work with him anymore, but happy that finally he can go out and find a job with a higher pay after his ORD. I promised I would post a blog dedicated to him. I could still remember the 1st day I saw him with the other "candidate"....Monday, October 23, 2006
Hangover Phobia
Basically, whole day I had been sleeping cos what else can I be doing when the only two feelings I had was GIDDY & NAUSEOUS. I guess it had been validated... that I should refrain from alcohol from now onwards (esp the 3 concentrated killers - XO, Vodka & Dry Gin). Dun ask me to train up further cos I really feel like sh*t today... didn't even get to enjoy my Bandung earlier *sigh* Farewell Dinner
Well, it's the usual KFC and Pizza with soft drinks and liquor... completed with small talks and eventually ended up with Mahjong and Soccer matches shown on ESPN at Max house. Luckily his house have labby to entertain me, but end up I introduced a dice game to a few of them who aren't involved in the MJ, and awaiting for the next soccer match to start between Arsenal and Reading. So the 5 of us played, and ALL of us got ourselves high from the alcohol content in the end (Munz ended up KO on the couch lor but after an hour's nap, he's totally fine). Saturday, October 21, 2006
Death Note
This new Japan movie is out in the cinemas!! But I wonder why Jubilee dun have *sigh*. Anyway before I go and watch it, I'm gonna read the manga to familiarise with the details. But actually no need to read also will understand wan lah. So far I had read about 3 episodes (in English) and I can tell you it's worth reading lor. The movie characters looked exactly the same as the manga wor... so it's quite good actually.Friday, October 20, 2006

Sweet Memories
I had spent most of my childhood & adolescence hanging out with my cousin brother (Daniel) and his sister (Diana) since they only stayed at the next block. The 3 of us would go cycling around, enjoying the speed and thrill like every other kids. Sometimes we would end up getting injured from the occasional falls, but we would still laugh about it. Life was so carefree and fun then... without the stress from work and other problems. Wednesday, October 18, 2006
My Big Bro
I have a bro who’s 5 years older than me, and my only play-mate when I was small. Both of us don’t look like our age, now that we had grown up. I mean we look younger *hehe*Since he's the only one whom I can play with, I normally followed him around with his friends and acted as an observer to see him:
- play marbles at the playground downstairs
- play soccer (I got hit by the flying ball once but we dun dare to tell mum about it in case we cant go out and play again)
- play with fighting spider (eventually got him to catch one for me after continuous pestering)
Sometimes both of us would kena whacked by mum’s “super cane”. He would tell me not to cry (cos I’m a crybaby when young mah) and taught me how to minimize the pain… using the ever-available natural medication – saliva.
There was once when we played and he got a cut on his forehead when he jumped down from the bed and hit against the wooden corner. Mum was having her nap. I was crying in fear from the sight of the non-stop bleeding (as usual). He remained cool and told me to stop crying while at the same time went to the kitchen to take the tablecloth to cover his wound. Are all Big Brothers so cool in front of their little sis and bros? In the end, the bleeding did not stop on its own, mum emerged from her room, next came the thundering roar and he got scolded for the stunt.
Sorry bro~ for causing you to be caned and screamed at by the Empress.
Thanks bro~ for the stuff you taught me and I’m glad that we still remained close like friends. Will visit you and the others more often once your new home is done… and that’s a PROMISE from your little sis!
It's Peeling~
It's starting to peel!! But it's going slow... wonder if I can get them to peel faster, but I was warned not to have "itchy" hands. I cant really have big fcial movements due to the tight but crumpled skin on my face. I do look like a crumbled old lady when I tried to smile~ Tuesday, October 17, 2006
Phone Craze
- Nokia 6110 - got it in 1998 on my Wednesday walk-out during training at Toa Payoh central. Was interested in the SMS function so decided to get one with my own salary.
- Nokia 8210 - dunno when and why I changed to this phone. I guess that's why it was "accidentally abandoned" by me inside one of the toilet cubicle at Jubilee. The worst thing is that I only realised the loss about 2hrs later when I went home and back to Jubilee again to catch a midnight movie.
- Nokia 8250 - got this the next day after I lost my 8210 cos I practically cant live without a handphone for a day. Damn~ what a loser...
- Nokia 6510 - the "business-look" phone. I remembered it was quite good, other than that dunno what else to describe.
- Sony Ericsson T610 - my 1st coloured phone and 1st try on other non-Nokia phones. Shir got this model 1st and my hand got itchy again... love the clarity of the pictures taken and MP3 playable function but can only set your sms tone from the given 6 choices (so boring). Its pathetic death was caused by me when I went to the toilet during my night shift. It got drowned~ in the squat-type toilet bowl. My colleagues all said it was done on purpose so that I can get a new model... but I swore it was purely accidental. It was beyond repair~
- Nokia 6230 - the phone that I'd been wanting to get cos it uses external memory card. But I got rid of it after 3 months of usage since it cant set ringtone from the MP3 in the memory card. Tried testing using my friend's card but also a disappointment.
- Nokia 6670 - the 1st Symbian phone for me! Got it on 31st Dec 2006, a day before Joanna's wedding, and I used it to capture her sweet moments with Kelvin. This was a new era of handphone OS and I spent most of my time installing great apps and games into my 6670. This was the 1st phone that kept me company for a year and a half, and I still love it.
Am I a frequent handphone-changer? Nah... I'm not lor... I'm just following thru the technological advancement in the Handphone Industry. But I do know 2 persons who changed their phones like a "pro". Guess who??

Instructions & Orders
Transformation
I was told the blackened skin would start forming and peeling of the dead skins would commence on the 3rd day of treatment... that's why I took leave haha... now my colleagues would know why I kept saying I'm not free this coming week.
Well, what to do... people want to be pretty mah... so have to sacrifice the pain, $$, and my most precious leave lor. So these few days dun jio me go out cos I'll be "hibernating" in my cave til I have the face to see people hehe...

Crabby Dinner
Had a Crabby Dinner earlier which comprised of 4 different dishes: - One Crab Bee Hoon with an extra bowl of Bee Hoon and Creamy Soup
- One Butter Crab
- One Chilli Crab with 10 fried buns
- Eight (I think so) Crispy Toufu served with Lemon sauce placed in a separate saucer to dip in
Sorry about the scary pic above but I only remembered to take the shot after we're done battling with the delicious fellas. I think you guys can still see the crab remains on the table bah...
It was meant to be a belated birthday treat to my buddy, Baoz and her hubby, King Kong (his human name is Adrian). Shir and me shared the costs of S$112/- since both of us promised to eat with her. We had the dinner at B/232 AMK and as usual, there's already a long queue when we reached there at 5.30pm for our reservation, which was made by me in advance on Thursday (heng ah~). One advice to you - better make your reservation there as early as 2 to 3 days in advance, if not it'll be "Happy Queueing" for you.
It's amazing how Singaporeans are willing to wait to eat good food, even though they have to wait for like at least 1.5hrs standing in the queue. My buddy asked me if I would do the same. Well it depends on who I'm eating with. If my "food partner" is willing to wait, I'll wait lor. No choice mah... since I'm a kind soul hahaha...
Freedom
- My parents doesn't pressure me to score well in my exams (and I wonder if they knew I'm having exams or not)
- No curfews set at all (as long I called and told my mum where I am)
- No probing of whom I mixed with (mum said as long I'm not involved in any illegal or immoral activities is ok)
I guess I'm lucky and people might envy me becos of the freedom I had when I was still schooling....
But as the days passed, I do not talk much at home since my parents do not probe much into my personal life. I became more independent on my own and I'm mostly alone at home as my mum was out at work and dad wasn't at home most of time until it's time for him to come back and sleep. So I spent more time with my friends and during that time, I felt that friends are more important than my family. But now of cos family comes first since I'm more matured now *hehe*
So... a life filled with loads of freedom isn't that great afterall. Sometimes occasional nagging from parents showed that they still cared for you, thou making it an everyday affair would be unbearable to the ears. In fact, people are always like that, have also complain, dun have also complain. So what do we want actually?
Peter...
- peter out - diminish or come to an end gradually (i've heard of this one before)
- Blue Peter - a blue flag with a white square in the centre, raised by a ship about to leave port (something new)
- peter (informal) - a prison cell (in NZ), a safe or trunk, a man's p*nis (totally a shocker for me but can't stop myself from thinking... "Do I have friends call Peter?")
I read Ah Tatt's blog via "Windows Live Spaces" and he mentioned about another name with a meaning in the Pocket PC (PPC) Scrabble Dictionary. That's why I would also like to share with you guys on the word I had learnt - with an amazing meaning in it informally. So please refrain from naming your child "Peter" in future. It's for your own good thou~
Oh by the way, there are other names with informal (and funny) meanings in the dictionary too... those of you who had installed MSDict Oxford Dictionary in your PDA, check out the meaning for "John" too. Better think twice before naming your child~
Hanging In The Air~
The 2nd was on 12/10/06. The sudden news came to me like an arrow pierced right through me... and my mind became blank for a moment, followed by tons of questions flooding through my head. "Am I really leaving this time?" "Is it time to tell them my actual plans?" "I do not want to leave, what can I do?"
A few of them asked me... "Can you dun leave?"
Here's my answer to them... "I hope so but it's not within my control"
We had spent so much time together... all the laughters, sweats, and personal small talks... those are what I always looked forward to when I go to work. To me, happiness is everything. I do not care what others might think of me, be it childish or lack of authoritative power at work. I just want everyone else to be happy.
Well, my posting had been "KIV" again ~ and I had temporary landed my foot on earth now. Soon, I might be taken to the air once more and left hanging along with the wind of "Chess-like decisions"... Well, what to do right?
Blogging
Previously people wrote their thoughts in Diaries and are afraid to let others see. Now people are busily blogging away online and sharing their feelings and stories with friends and even strangers. Things do change~ and they always do... well, that's becos "Changes are the only constant in life".
I had always wondered "why do humans hurt each other in life? Is it a kind of survival skill? Why can't everyone live in harmony? I had learnt to be stronger from the incidents that happened to me... but I wonder why I still treat people good even when I got my back hurt from the stabbing. Someone told me to be more careful of my back and not to be so gullible in future, but I still got my foot stuck sometimes. Guess maybe I still hope that harmony and happiness exists among people~~
